6 Top Teas for Colds and Flu

Focusing on optimising your immune system naturally can really help when cold and flu season hits. Be prepared with delicious loose leaf teas that can help you support your immune system.


Did you know, antibiotics don't work for viruses. Most over-the-counter medications only treat the symptoms. Many people have been searching for a natural Covid-19 cure or remedy. Although there is no scientific evidence to support such a cure there is a way, thankfully, with mother nature, to boost your immune system. This can actually help you fight viruses like the flu and other related illnesses!


Read on for some of the best teas for fighting cold and flu viruses.


 

1. Greek Mountain Tea


Used as an ancient flu remedy, drinking two to three cups of Greek Mountain Tea every day is thought to help prevent or fight flu symptoms and chest infections.


Also known as Ironwort, the tea has been traditionally used to aid digestion, strengthen the immune system and suppress the common cold, flu and other viruses, allergies and respiratory issues, sinus congestion, even pain and mild anxiety. (1)

2. Lemon Teas

4. Hibiscus Tea


Just three cups of caffeine free hibiscus tea may help you to reach your recommended daily dose of vitamin C – a strong antioxidant which is proven in keeping our immune systems healthy. Hibiscus tea is also high in iron, helping the body to maintain red blood cells by keeping the immune system balanced. 5. Mamaki Tea
